Hi everybody, I am a stay at home mom with a 4 year old boy. I have discovered Cafepress in 2005 when I was still working full time. I had opened my first online shop, Keepsake Arts, with Cafepress when I discovered that I could sell my designs on t-shirts. I got addicted after I received my first cheque in my letterbox.

Email Interview #38: Sherine
In the previous post, I was intrigued by the many methods you can make money online. Pei Yu is selling her products on Facebook and forums.
Why do people sell products on forums?
Forums is a community of very targeted audience.
For instance, fish lovers like myself invest alot in maintaining our aquarium tank and the well-being of our fishes. So if a vendor who sells quality filters is to promote fish filters to us, there is a higher possibility that we will buy. Why? Because we are fish lovers and each of us have at least 3 filters and are always looking to buy new one to replace the old ones.
So, if you are planning to sell something, do not just stop at blogs. Facebook fan pages and forums are great resources for you to tap into.
In this new interview, I am delighted to have another stay at home mom cum business owner to share with us how she is tapping into website, Facebook fan page to boost her sales.

Hello everyone! I am Sherine from Singapore, owner of The Little Wardrobe. I was previously an Auditor. Decided to quit my auditing job due to the long working hours as well as the need to travel frequently when I was expecting my boy. In April 2009 I gave birth to my boy, Gregory. I then took up a job with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in June 2009 but left shortly to help start up business for my relative. I started up The Little Wardrobe store at Raffles Place in late 2009.

Email Interview #37: Pei Yu
In the last interview, I have interviewed ex flight attendant who runs a successful internet shop selling maternity wear. In fact, anyone can start up an internet shop selling anything you want and as long as it satisfied a gap.
What is a gap?
A gap is an unfulfilled need of the customer. For example, stay at home parents have little time to do house chores and not having enough or trusted domestic helpers is a gap. And you can easily detect a gap when you belong to that specific group of customer and all you need to ask is what you are frustrated about. Which of your need is not met?
In this weekend post, I am thankful for this stay at home mom’s sharing. Her name is Pei Yu and she runs a successful internet business…Read on to find out how she does it and how you can too without the need to create your own products.

Email Interview #36: Vanessa Azure Lin
I have always been impressed by how resilient stay-at-home mothers are. It is not easy to manage a successful online business while taking care of their young children.
After becoming a father earlier this year and having to look after my baby girl, I can really empathise with these mothers. If the day is not planned properly, all the activities will be revolving around the kids. A typical half a day can start like this – making milk for the baby at 6am, bathing the baby at 9am, preparing for the next feed at 11am, playing with the baby at 2pm, feeding at 3pm and so on. Half a day is gone.
In an office context, it is equivalent to doing your colleague’s work and not being able to start yours.
So, in this interview, I am delighted to share the story of air stewardess turned stay-at-home mom. I hope you can learn something out of it. (This is another similar story of Dulcie who used to be air stewardess too.)

I am Grace Tan, a Stay-At-Home-Mum (SAHM) to my 13 month daughter, whom I have decided to devote all my time to, after she was born. I made the decision to look after her myself as I felt that no amount of money could “buy” my time. I could always earn the money later, but no amount of money in this world can buy back the time I could have spent with my child in her growing years, and she is everything in the world to me.
It is also my responsibility to impart to her, values which she would take with her when she grows up. I am also passionate about “green” issues and aspire to bring my children up in an eco-conscious environment.

Email Interview #33: Dulcie
Hi, in this series of interviews, I am sharing stories of local stay at home mothers who have successfully built their home-based online business. Our guest for this week used to be a Flight Attendant for Singapore Airlines and now she runs a blog shop selling skincare products. Her name is Dulcie
I got to know her and about her blog shop from my wife who had bought from her when my wife was pregnant.
As starting your business at home gets much easier with the availability of internet, more and more parents, especially mothers, preferred to work from home while taking care of their young children.
I really hope such stories can continue to inspire you that working from home with the use of internet is VERY POSSIBLE! – just like how many parents and I have done it.
