1. Please introduce your name, who you are, which country are you staying in and your area of IM expertise

This is Patricia Lin from BestWebsiteDeals.com and I am an internet marketer from Singapore. I started my internet marketing career back in 2006 when I was in University and went full-time into it after graduation just last year. I must say that my internet marketing journey has been very fulfilling because it has got me featured in the local newspaper for affiliate marketing, on a local TV primetime talkshow for making money through my blog and basically started a whole new life after graduation for me. You can find out more about me at my personal site, PatriciaLin.com

Now, 3 years into internet marketing, I have established my IM expertise in the area of website flipping. Because the demand for services by internet marketers has always been high, I decided to go into website flipping to meet the demands of internet marketers who are looking to get websites created for their businesses, personal use and for investment purposes.

2. Share with us your first success in Internet Marketing and how did you do that

My first success in internet marketing came in the year of 2007 when I went into affiliate marketing and took time to promote several profitable clickbank products as well as online services that paid out good affiliate commissions on some of the websites that I set up together with Calvin (my boyfriend). We basically set up keyword-rich sites and drove traffic to them and at the same time, promoted the affiliate products amidst the content that we posted.

3. Share with us one obstacle which you have overcome and you have learnt alot from it

One obstacle which I overcame was telling everyone the business I was doing. Internet marketing was fairly unheard of back in 2006 and having to convince people what I did was really tough. But I have learnt a lot from it because it taught me the lesson – not to be afraid of chasing after my dreams. There will always be people who are going to try to stop you from going after your ideals, dreams and goals. Hence it’s important to remain focused and determined in achieving what you set out to do.

4. Share with us one mindset tip you would like to share with others, especially those who find IM hard

Learning is a continuous process. You learn from both successes and failures. Do not be afraid to fail in the first place. Those who find IM hard need to reframe their thought process and should focus on only one aspect of IM that they are interested in. There is no point trying to be a Jack of All Trades – trying to pick up article marketing, SEO, blogging, affiliate marketing and end up confusing themselves a lot further than they were when they started. It’s important for them to know what works for them and what doesn’t and move on.

5. Share with us about the uniqueness of one of your products.

The individual websites that I create are my products. I have come up with PLR ebook products but none satisfy me as much as each of the websites I sell to the general public as well as to my private clients. My products are unique virtual real estate properties that are uniquely and professionally designed to reflect the importance of each niche. Each of my website comes with a ready system guaranteed to help one set up an online business that will generate them profits. In all my internet marketing endeavours, nothing beats having a website and investing in it because it is low in cost and reaps high revenue.

6. One project you are working on right now and you would like my readers to know

One project I’m working on right now is WorkFromHomeSingaporeans.com. It’s basically a free IM training portal targeted towards mainly Singaporeans. It is meant to help Singaporeans be more exposed to the possibilities of working from home and the opportunities to do so with the use of the internet. The website was just launched earlier this year and we are hoping to develop it further as time goes by.

7. One last tip you want to share with my readers

Internet marketing will always be evolving but the fundamentals will be the same. So long as you stick to the basics of delivering good products (if you are a product creator/developer), providing good content (if you are a writer/blogger/content-provider) and providing good value and benefit to your consumers, you will definitely be able to establish a career within this industry.

Most importantly, follow your passion and success will follow you.
